sunshine coast can recycling

Sunshine Coast residents can recycle a variety of items at three recycling depots. These include paper and plastic packaging, glass containers and styrofoam. Residents can also recycle their milk and dairy drink containers. The Provincial Government has recently changed the recycling regulations for these containers. For more information, visit the Sunshine Coast‘s recycling directory.

Leonie started collecting cans in local parks and eventually collected over one hundred thousand pieces. With the money she earned, she and her fiancé were able to have their dream wedding and honeymoon. The couple even paid for the ceremony and honeymoon themselves with the cans they collected. Although they had dreamed of a dream overseas honeymoon, they settled for a road trip up north instead.

Containers for Change, Queensland‘s kerbside recycling scheme, has launched a new initiative called Partners for Change. It aims to encourage recycling of drink containers. Kawana Shoppingworld was the first shopping centre to join the initiative. Customers can recycle their drink containers at the centre and receive refunds. By donating their empty drink containers to this initiative, customers will be helping out a local charity.
